Surrounding area
The Casa Cantone Country House is located on the Umbrian plains in front of Monte Subasio, at a height of about 210 m above sea level. Its position makes it the ideal place from which to explore the surrounding area in a comfortable and complete way. Located in the heart of Umbria, in a very short time visitors can reach strikingly beautiful places, rich in history, art, culture and religion: Perugia, Bevagna, Assisi, Montefalco, Spello, Trevi, Spoleto, Deruta, Gualdo Cattaneo, Foligno, Nocera Umbra, Todi, Orvieto, Norcia, Cascia. These cities conserve works by artists of inestimable value such as Pinturicchio, Perugino, Giotto, Cimabue and many other figures, who, in these lands, found the ideal place, full of peace, serenity and beauty to express their art. Umbria is also the region of secular traditions and Saints: St. Francis of Assisi, St. Clare of Montefalco, St. Benedict of Norcia. These infinite lands, also thanks to the presence of nature which is still unspoilt, are rich in typical local products which are truly unique (Sagrantino wine, extra virgin olive oil and many others) which can be tasted by following specialised food and wine itineraries in the area.
